I will provide a 1,500-word (minimum) report on your romantic comedy or romance novel. In this report, I will highlight the strengths of your book and its weaknesses, giving feedback on character development, plot, pacing, language, humour, marketability, and more. The report will assist you in editing your novel to a high standard, giving you confidence when submitting to agents or publishers, or alternatively, self-publishing.

Why I feel able to offer this service: I've had four romantic comedy novels published by HarperCollins and I'm now self-publishing rom coms. My debut, Perfect Match, was an iBooks and Amazon bestseller and was shortlisted for the RNA's Joan Hessayon Award. I also write thrillers and have a traditional publishing deal for my thrillers. I used to be a reviewer of commercial women's fiction for a national newspaper (Daily Express). My travel writing has been published by Bradt (a publisher of travel guides), and I was a finalist for The Independent on Sunday's travel writing competition in 2012, when I was 24. I have a first class degree in English Literature and an NCTJ in Newspaper Journalism. I love writing and I love reading, and tend to be doing one or the other pretty much all the time! I also enjoy helping people and I'm keen to support upcoming novelists by sharing what I've learnt.

Cost: £250 for a manuscript up to 70,000 words.

For longer books, I charge an additional £50 per 10,000 words, e.g. for a book that is 80,000 words, the cost would be £300.
